         Construction of a road tunnel on the planned road between Arnarfjörður and Dýrafjörður. The project includes the construction of a tunnel along with associated finishing and equipment in tunnel, portal structures, access roads, 2 concrete bridges, and other pertinent work.

         The project"s main key figures are as follows:

         Total tunnel length: 5.6 km incl. portals;

         Tunnel bottom width: 8.0 m, (T8);

         Approx. length of portals 310 m;

         Access roads, length: 9 km;

         Bridges 16 and 14 m long.

         The work can be divided into the following major parts:

         — Construction work;

         — Tunnel;

         — Portal structures;

         — Access roads;

         — Electrical installations;
