         Works includes construction management of the new SORPA Dry AD Plant for the treatment of Household Municipal Solid Waste in Álfsnes in the Reykjavik area in Iceland.

         The plant will, in the 1st phase, treat 36 000 TPA of pre-treated Household Municipal Solid Waste.

         The plant is closed and all air from the Plant will be treated in bio filters.

         The plant main components are:

         — reception,

         — 20 process modules,

         — 10 maturation bays,

         — screening and compost building,

         — reactor tanks, percolate- and aeration system for modules and bays,

         — control room, staff and administration facilities,

         — technical rooms.

         The main work packages are:

         — detail design,

         — excavation for buildings and utilities, and outdoor surface finish,

         — construction,

         — furnishing and installation of equipment,

         The Plant is approximately 12 000 m2.

         Main quantities:

         — concrete: 8 155 m3,

         — Glulam: 370 m3,

         — roofing: 5 445 m2,

         — reactor tanks: 2 x 3 350 m3.

         Quantities are provisional. Buildings and systems are pre-designed but detail design, including detail architecture, is part of tender.
